This handsome ring features an extremely rare 4.34-carat Colombian trapiche emerald set in a bold, wide band encrusted with 1.74 carats of white diamonds. Taking their name from a grinding wheel used in Colombia to process sugarcane, trapiche emeralds display a trademark wheel spoke pattern and are among the rarest of the pattern gems. The stone's striking design is the result of black carbon impurities that form in the emerald crystal junction, and they emanate outwards to stunning effect. Set in platinum.
